HP D5360 Photosmart Printer Top Quality
>> Wednesday, December 2, 2009

I have come to expect frustrating software and quirky printing from HP, but for some reason bought this printer anyway. I am now throwing it away and buying an Epson.
The software insists on reinstalling itself every time the printer is disconnected and reconnected and sometimes just when the computer is restarted. The software interferes with Microsoft Word's ability to close and save (crashes). The software interferes with my computer going into hibernate mode. The software itself randomly crashes and the only way to get is started again is to reboot the computer (this is a real drag when you're just finishing something, ready to print and BAM crash and you have to reboot just to print!). All this I have patiently dealt with but now, I'm fed up. The printer has suddenly stopped recognizing the ink cartridges that have been working just fine for a few weeks now (and are over 50% full!). Since they are new cartridges, I hadn't purchased a new set yet, so here I am with plenty of ink and no functioning printer.
The Help on the software is a misnomer if I've ever seen one (besides the fact that it works only half the time anyway).
The two sided printing, CD printing and other barely useful gimmicks are hardly worth the headache of this machine. I will never purchase another HP printer. (This time I mean it!)Get more detail about HP D5360 Photosmart Printer.
