MFC-8440 - Can't beat it for the price.

After more than 43,000 prints the unit works the same as it did on Day 1. Over the entire period (4+ years now) it has jammed probably fewer than 10 times.

The only item other than toner that has required replacement is the drum (standard consumable item).

Scan speed is acceptable for home office use; it is not for high-volume business use, ie hundreds of pages a day.

The document feeder feeds reliably provided you don't use flimsy, tattered, or "slick" paper, typical of all printer/scanners in this price class.
